Yannis Papanastasopoulos is an Athens-born filmmaker and director whose work spans music videos, documentaries, and commercials. He graduated with first-class honours in 2017 with his debut short Pathosis, and later trained at the ARRI Academy in Munich, earning certification in advanced camera systems.

His career has taken him from the sets of Nu Boyana Film Studios in Sofia, one of Europe's largest film facilities, to the streets and rooftops of Athens, where he finds most of his stories. In 2022 he opened Ena Kare, a creative studio that became the foundation for what followed.

Today Yannis co-leads Sunlight Productions alongside Director of Photography Amalia Kovaiou, a production house built on craft, collaboration, and the belief that the best work happens when you care deeply about both the image and the story behind it.
